A couple of years ago, I was lucky enough to get a really good deal on a couple of flights from Adelaide - Singapore. My littlest sister, Kriddle (who has just started blogging too, BTW. You can check it out here :) ) was lucky enough to be the one to accompany me on a long weekend in Singapore! It seems that quick trips away are not just a "DS and I-thing"...maybe it's really just a "me-thing!" I really need to start being better with my annual leave and save them up so I can have longer holidays!
I've been to Singapore a few times, but this was Kriddle's first time there, and in fact, it was her first time overseas! We were pretty busy on our three days, but as you're probably gathering, I don't really mind being busy on holidays....there's a lot to see and do in this world!

Our weekend in Singapore saw us having breakfast with the animals at Singapore Zoo, which really is a pretty awesome zoo;
Tiger at the Zoo
catching a cable car over to Sentosa Island and seeing a cute, animated light show;
Siloso Beach, Sentosa Island
Gloves and a bib were required...definitely not a first-date meal!
This word (actually term would be more accurate) is the Flinger. We made up this term after we had booked a night time ride on the Singapore Flyer, which was accompanied with a Singapore Sling. Hence, the word "Flinger!" We didn't even end up having a Sling on the Flyer (see....it's much easier to say Flinger as one word, isn't it?!), but the term stuck :)

We had a great weekend in Singapore and I think we outdid ourselves (once again) by fitting in as much as we could in 3 days!
